Miracle
This album finds everyones favorite Dane Flemming Borby recording in Cuba and the result is a more tender and more 80's layered collection of pop songs. The album brings to mind that mid 80's sultry, smoky type of sound bands such as Spandau Ballet or Roxy Music were known for, but Flemmings style and unique stamp is still on there. What can we say, the man can do it all and this is another pure gem not to be missed.

It's Not The End Of The World
Le Sports debut is making one of the biggest buzzes in the indie scene right now. Classic retro synth sounds and 80's pop melodies make it a very engaging album and unlike anything to come out for some time. Note: This album contains some lyrics of overt mature (gay) nature and is not for kids or those put off by such things.

I am still trying to figure out how Johan Angergård went from the retro lo fi fuzz of the Legends debut to this, a complete retake on the history of the Cure. This is deep, dark, brooding and absolutely exquisite, and Robert Smith must be hemorrhaging over it. If you dig early Cure and late 70's UK bands, you simply must own this.

When Johan Angergård (Club 8, Acid House Kings) started his third project band I was not sure what to expect, but the results were quite pleasing. Melding the pop styles of the Kings to a retro lofi sound and a bit off fuzz he made an album that made many year end top ten lists.

Where Happiness Lives
This is the debut solo CD from Libido frontman Even Johanson, AKA Magnet. Norwegian Johanson took an Elliott Smith turn when he took time off from his much heavier band Libido to make this self-produced "one man" album of brooding 4am bedroom classics. Criminally out of print already, this album is beautifully dark . Highlights include the breathtaking single “Where Happiness Lives” and the most inspired Thin Lizzy cover of all time, a very laid-back "Dancing In The Moonlight". Fans of The Doves (who Magnet have toured with) will adore this album.

There are even elements of 'Colour of Spring' era-Talk Talk, and Air's Moon Safari.

Lost
The Mary Onettes are a Swedish band with an unapologetic 80’s sound most obviously recalling New Order and the Cure. Pitchfork corectly point out that the main difference is the side of this stuff that they're interested in borrowing. “These days, lots of acts look back on New Order as the serious-minded dance-music pioneers who made "Blue Monday"; the Mary Onettes sound more intrigued by the swoony, chart-topping pop of a song like "Regret". Lots of acts draw on the Cure for their spikiness, their spookiness, their goth; the Mary Onettes would rather compete with "Just Like Heaven."

We’re delighted to finally be stocking the debut solo album from the former frontman of the band who gives our website it’s name.
